Sgt. Mark Hoyt Administrative Sergeant Sergeant Mark Hoyt has worked for the Department for 19 years. He worked as a deputy in the Indio Jail, Indio Station Patrol, Palm Desert Station Patrol. He served on the Emergency Services Team (SWAT), K-9 deputy, Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force, and Palm Desert Target Team. He was promoted to investigator in 2005 and worked at the Palm Desert Station Investigations Bureau. In January 2007, Sergeant Hoyt was promoted and transferred to the Indio Station, where he has served as a patrol watch commander for the cities of La Quinta and Coachella, and unincorporated areas of Indio, Mecca, Thermal, Oasis, and North Shore.
