Sgt. Matthew Martello Administrative Sergeant Sergeant Matthew Martello received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983 from The College of Idaho and is a 14-year veteran of the Department. Throughout his career he has worked at the Indio Jail, Palm Desert Station, Indio Station and the Special Investigations Bureau. These assignments included patrol, major narcotics and property/person crime investigations and Watch Commander. He has served on the Palm Springs Narcotics Task Force and Palm Desert Police Target Team. Sergeant Martello was selected as an Emergency Service Team (S.W.A.T.) member in 1997, and served with the unit until his promotion to Sergeant in 2003. Sergeant Matthew Martello is the administrative sergeant for the City of La Quinta and supervisor of the Resource Officer Division for the city's schools.
