Sergeant Jamie Lewis is a twenty-two year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. She began her career in September 2000 and was assigned to the Indio Jail for two years. She was then transferred to the Indio Station and worked in the cities of La Quinta, Coachella, and the unincorporated county areas.
In January of 2006, Sergeant Lewis was assigned to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force for three years. In 2008, she was nominated for "Street Case of the year" with the California Narcotics Officers Association.
In July of 2014, she was transferred to the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station where she worked in the cities of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells and the unincorporated county areas.
In July of 2015, Sergeant Lewis was promoted to the rank of Sheriff's Corporal and transferred to Court Services East for three years where she worked in the Civil Bureau and provided court room security in the courthouse.
In August of 2018, Sergeant Lewis was transferred back to the Palm Desert Station until February 2019 when she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and transferred to the Indio Jail.
In October of 2020, Sergeant Lewis was transferred to the Thermal Station and worked the cities of La Quinta, Coachella and the unincorporated county areas where she supervised patrol functions. In January 2022, she was assigned to the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team.
Sergeant Lewis possesses a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is in pursuit of a master's degree in Public Administration.
